Is it just me or does the sample sound like it's a midi file? Maybe it's just my speakers.
Nah thats just the how OG track sounds.. all the rocky music was composed by bill conti, it all sounds vaguely midi, its the intruments and synths he used.

Plus it's his opinion. There's always going to be the peanut gallery(I think this is as nice as I can be and I probally fall into this category on many occasions) who will do anything to keep their beloved from being ridiculed and you can't blame them but in the end it's all subjective.
To me, this whole 'i can make hot beats on fuityloops, i dont even have an mpc' argument is garbage from step 1. If anything, you can do MORE with FL and MORE EASILY. its not like gettin an mpc gives you all these capabilities FL doesnt have. so how is using FL even a disadvantage? you have MORE options, if anything.
Of course the Rocky theme has been used numerous times. But this homie was just using a blatant sample to show you what can be done with FL studio. Looking down on mpc's is a little extreme, but this foo really knows what he is doing. I didn't take him seriously at first, but he proved that has skill that will go very far with fruity loops.
Everyone knows what can be done with fl, and this dude does nothing amazing. theres a lot of people on this forum alone who are KILLING him in FL. but they dont always talk about how ghetto they are producing with FL, so you dont know it. Thats how it should be.
I have an mpc, and FL, and i use both, maybe FL a little more, i just hink that whole argument is bullshit.
And another thing, that dudes beat is wack. to me, there are to ways that a beat can be tight: one, if the og sample is something hard to find, and flipped mediocrely, or if you do use a common sample (like rocky...80% of producers have flipped that) then you gotta FLIP it. dude did nothing amazin with it.
