does anyone use an mpc2000 to trigger sounds in ableton?

does anyone use an mpc2000 to trigger sounds in ableton? ive been trying to hook this up for a couple hours and i have had no luck!!!

Check your midi settings on your MPC and cables.

If you would want to do that, open a midi channel.. select the midi in on the channel, could be ESP midi.. select midi instead of drum on your mp and you should be up and running..

May i ask what you will be using ableton for? will you still be doing your drums on the mpc?

I have my abelton live set up to do live shows. I manually assign everything on the midi keys. I do this by switching to Midi Map mode and manually assign different keys for different functions. But I don't know what you're going to be using Live for.... making beats? live shows? or both? Just make sure you check your MPC's Midi/Sync option.
