this is all te info I've found so far. It looks like they were made for dvd audio. I don't really know much about headphones. So I can't tell by looking at the specs if they would make good monitors. Here is a review on th RP-FDA100 Technics headphones

From what i read and find online their Studio headphones made for DVD
Audio or DVD viewing. There have a dope freq range making them hella clear & powerful with a large foam earcup for extended use & light feel. They are Open Ear headphones and cost $249 uk price.
