Say you come a cross a real nice sample from a track will you try and incorperate the drums from the same track also like chop them up and make your own pattern out of them to go with whatever you sampled bass melody whatever.
Yes Marval I do that all the time....its the way to go besides straight Jacking a loop......that is necessary if your drums are nice but not hard enough, you can layer one of your joints....
If you sample soul or disco, or whatever. Alot of stuff got drums on them...so when you chop...make sure you don't got a drum in the sample that'll go off beat.
the advantage of choppn up loops is that you can make your own patterns. it will help individualize your tracks and you can also affect each kik and snare differently. different compression different filters etc. you gotta practice choppn single hits. tryn find hits without other shit playing behind them itll save you heaps of time filtering and the result will be a cleaner sound.
yeah i was pondering that question how to chop sounds out of tracks like hi hats snares kicks etc... without music behind them have to get some instrumental vinyl and stuff or something deffinitly a task in itself
