I gotta make a beat for a guy and i use a mixture of hardware and software... Does anyone know where i can find free lil jonesque sounds such as the claps/snares drums hi hats and bass etc....

Either wav or mp3 is fine...
Anyone of these will be helpful and i'll owe you!

The staple of the Dirty South is the TR-808 drum set, originally made by Roland in the 80's. I have never used this site, but maybe you want to try it out. The link is to the TR-808 menu of samples.

As for bass sounds and others, the machines usually used were the ASR-X presets, as well as the Emu Mo'Phatt module library. A lot of the same sounds can be found on software synthesisers as well. I recommend you put a query in a search engine for such samples, and wish you the best of luck.

Sincerely,
God

You can use any low budget drum machine. It sounds like he uses basic generic 808 drum kits. (General MIDI sounds)
