BEFORE 3FT HIGH AND RISING, CATS ONLY SAMPLED JAMES BROWN, AND ULTIMATE BREAKS AND BEATS. 3FT HIGH AND RISING INTRODUCED CATS TO A WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE OF BEATMAKING. CATS THEN STARTING BROADENING THEIR HORIZ0NS BY CHEKING FOR ROCK RECORDS, DISNEY RECORDS, WHATEVER. JUST OTHER TYPES OF SHIT

You're talking about Prince Paul's production. De La's stuff on 3 Feet High just changed everything. But you can't forget PE, the Bomb Squad changed the game too.

I wouldn't say that Prince Paul/De La revolutionized sampling but 3 Feet High and Rising is definitely an all time classic, which together with a few others led the way for Hip-Hop as we know it.

I would have to say that De La Soul is Dead was the best album they put out......I can still listen that whole album...Not many albums like that in the world of hip hop but that album was a true hip hop classic I think it was better than 3 feet high and rising
