You know.. it comes down to technology. The universe is currently calculated at 13.6 Billion years old and our Society is only 5000-2000 years old.. with the majority of technology booming in the last 200 years.
Considering the depth and age of the Universe it is a the simplest conclusion to assume that not only are there other life in the universe but there are societies much older than ours. Imagine how our technology will look in 200 years from now.. how about 2,000 years.. how about a million years!
I Am not saying I believe This particular story or that of a reptilian race trying to orchestrate our fate or any other Conspiracies. I actually don't Believe in much of anything because everything is possible and nothing is unmistakeably provable.

Okay. I'm doing this to humor myself. Let's say for argument's sake we take the following as truths:
TRUTH and BREAKDOWN #1:
- There are aliens that can shapeshift or the CIA/MI-6/KGB possesses the ability to shapeshift.
- These aliens or CIA/MI-6/KGB operatives that can shapeshift decided to go to Nigeria and steal items with another person who can't shapeshift.
- This alien or CIA/MI-6/KGB operative doesn't possess enough training/skills to look inconspicuous and is almost caught by a poorly funded and corrupt Nigerian police department.
- This alien or CIA/MI-6/KGB operative then decides to shapeshift into a goat. A goat.
- The alien, CIA/MI-6/KGB operative did not shapeshift into another animal to get away from the police, like a cheetah, bird, or animal that is faster or possesses some other ability to "get away" from the poorly-funded and corrupt Nigerian police so this wouldn't be "all over the news" and blow the cover of the alien or CIA/MI-6/KGB operative.
- The alien or CIA/MI-6/KGB operative shapeshifts into said goat and is paraded around while taking pictures with the policemen that "caught" it.
TRUTH AND BREAKDOWN #2:
1. Two dudes steal something.
2. One dude gets caught.
3. Dude knows another dude at the police department OR dude had some cash in his pocket.
4. Dude bribes poorly-funded Nigerian police. They have authority to arrest him. He gives money in exchange for freedom.
5. They let dude go.
6. Paid off Nigerian police blame the theft on a goat.
7. Police informer or bribed "witness' acts as "eyewitness". Police informer/paid off person can afford some food now.
8. Case closed. End of story.

The entire point of me spending the time to write what I did was to highlight the fact that the Universe possibly holds much more than we could ever imagine.
I do not, and have never, believe in these silly conspiracy theories.
Our blind perspective as a planet-bound specie prevents us from understanding what can happen in 13.6 Billion years. Just because I begin to understand the possibilities that are out there does not mean I believe in every crazy-ass story someone comes up with.
Aliens, Ghosts, famous Monsters, God.. people love to believe in things that they have no credible reason to. I do recognize the plausibility of alien races in our Universe.. I doubt they would have any reason to involve themselves with us though.
I've Never been Superstitious because the Truth is much more interesting.
Understanding our position in the Universe and the possibilities out there while being grounded in Truth, by not believing in things that are unprovable, allows one to live with both eyes open and not be surprised if some crazy ass shit does develop. Most people would lose their minds because they were so grounded in the false-truths that their lives are turned inside out. Others play it smooth and get by just fine, "ahh okay.. wow.. didn't expect that".

Now that you explained your position in a way I can better understand it, I believe your proto-Deist view of the world is sobering.
I personally think that an educated discussion regarding the possibilities of new scientific discoveries or theories that may give credence to a type of technology being developed is a topic that should be in another post. This general "goat" post does not warrant an in depth and cerebral discussion of that nature.
In my statements retorting your view - I assumed that you were applying the rationale of purported new discoveries or the secret/unknown being available to humans or some humans. Hence my usage of the sarcastic "CIA/MI-6/KGB agent" metaphor - with the assumption that individuals in said agencies generally have access to technology/ideas that are "ahead" of the times. Thereby they would "have" access to said "goat-shapeshifting" technologies. This is an assumption.
We can talk about quantum mechanics or theories of black holes and how little anyone truly understands about the universe and the world. We can talk about how man created stories whilst staring at the stars in the sky, giving birth to astrologically based stories that have found their way into religious texts today and are considered as "truths". We can talk about how people used to worship the sun as a god, because they did not understand it was a mass of hydrogen that was radiating energy through the process of nuclear fusion. More stories were written about this unknown "sun" and it was made into a "god".
Basically, let's start up another post and talk about this in a level-headed manner rather than having the conversation colored by the prevalence of shapeshifting goats in Nigeria.
It just seems to me that the way you are posturing your statements - it's similar to a label's PR guy trying to conflate things in order to justify or re-color the intent of a press release, magazine article, or whatever type of thing he wanted to spin. I know you're not doing this, it's just that my bullshit meter goes off at many things.

When I began writing in this thread it was more of an abstract response of my opinion rather than a direct, to-the-point, explanation. I live in a very religious place and am used to offering new perspectives by more subtle means rather than simply breaking it down. Breaking reality down around people who have not considered such things usually becomes too difficult for them to digest. It is very nice though to speak with someone who these restrictions do not apply. In the future I will make sure to be much more direct in my responses. I would love to engage this discussion in a more appropriate thread, although it will probably be until next weekend that I will have much time to participate (studying/new semester).
I am adjusted to acclimating the technique I use at offering new perspectives to other people as subtle in a food-for-thought method. This is a form of manipulation and a very sideways method of communication, I'm sure that's why your bullshit meter went off. It will be good for me to discuss things more directly in the future. It shouldn't become standard for me to acclimate the way I communicate for people not ready to understand. So, for that I apologize and look forward to talking with you further about such things.
It is surprising to me that you are aware of the many things you are. It would be interesting to hear more of your personal background.. Either way, I look forward to talking with you in the future. It is rare, in these particular subjects, to find those with perspective's that I can be taught.. however it is refreshing and comforting.. If my education did not have me grounded here, for the moment in Tulsa, I would move to a more rational community.

I dont know anything about M-Theory(mutliple universe theory?) and string theory has advanced into another theory now. Something to do with 11 dimensions and some other crazy stuff.
Personally I think that the scientists trying to solve the mystery of the universe with one equation are deluded and naive, we dont even know half the things at the bottom of the ocean or in the deepest jungle/rainforests on earth, and yet they are trying to solve the universe with the most limited of variables.
That makes me laugh, and also shows me that some of those with "higher" education really are brainwashed by their education.
Newtons Law and Einsteins theory of relativity are incompatible so they seek to create a unified theory of everything, at the quantum level the laws fall apart.

I know of the particles that can be in two places at once and also of the particles that disappear and reappear, but they dont know where they go, hence multiple universe theory.
I also know that they dont fully understand how gravity works.
And as our ability to see smaller and samller objects gets better, we are noticing that even the smallest of particles are made up of many smaller objects. Give it a few years and we will be able to see what nano particles make up a proton or a neutron or electron.
Thats why with our limited understanding of the universe I find totally hilarious that they are trying to come up with a unified theory.
