Im just thinking of getting it and most of the reviews I have read seem like SoundBlaster Press releases!

This is my opinion but dont waste your time on gettin a Sound Blaster sound card. They are a piece of shitty crap. But im pretty sure its someone around the forums using one but i have experiemented with a few for study purposes and they dont compare to sound cards like the M-audio 2496, Delta1010, ect.. Thats my opinion and based on my experience.

Its still emu technology, but yeah, more consumer then prosumer gear, I'll look down the specs to see what that tells me.

except for the elite pro ( 116dB snr ) they're all 109dB.... the cheap emu 0404 already has 116dB snr

i've got the creative sound blaster live! 24 bit external and it's worked fine for me so far.

ow they'll work fine alright, but im lookin at this and consider that smart people use the best monitoring they can get and the best converters with the highest snr and lowest thd. To most that produce hiphop on a small daw it will do, but if you're looking into more harware, steady internal clock sync etc etc you'll runn into more problems. But yeah, If you dont care you can do dope shit none the less, most beats on my soundclick are done or different kind of pc's with mostly 16bit/44khz running FL, Reason whatever...nothing special besides a regular pc and whatever software. You wont have any troubles untill you start buying the proper hardware.
