Yo What Up Again. This Time I Got A Few Questions About Hookin' Up A Recording Room.

1. Computer: What Things To Look For In A Computer? I Already Have A Dell Pc But I Use It For Other Shit Too And It Slows Down Aot. It Has 1.3 Ghz, 256 MB Of Memory, A 48x CD-RW, 40 GB Hard Drive, And A Sound Blaster Sound Card. I Bought A Kit To Hook Up My Keyboard Thru Midi, But I Want A New Sound Card That Has That Already And A Mic Hook Up So I Can Drop Some Vocals Or Record Samples.


2. Sense I Have Software,(Reason 2.5, Fl Studio And Adobe Audition), Do I Need A Mixing Board, Amps & Racks, MPC's And Stuff Like That (I Love To Sample!!!!) I Heard Hardware Stuff Gives You A Better Sound. Im Very Lost When It Comes Down To The Hardware. Any Reccomendations And Why Will Help Very Much.

3. Midi Hardware, What To Get Other Than A Keyboard?

5. Is Studio Monitors Really Needed? Why Not Generic Speakers

6. What Are MPC's And What Are They Capable Of?

The best thing for you to do is research, its always best to figure things out yourself before asking. To answer some of your questions, I think your already set to make some decent music. You got a pc and some software, thats really all you need right now util you outgrow the software. Since you already have a pc you dont need any studio monitors as long as you have some good pc speakers. And a MPC is basicly a drum machine where you can put in your own sounds. But its not just limited to that, you can sequence your music, edit .wav files, etc... My advice to you just do more reading, your on the right track.

I agree with Oz,but an MPC is a sampler,sequencer. it has NO sound in it. as for a sound card whats your budget? ill point you in the right way to look at some and compare. and later if you get serious bout it your gonna need a new Computer. anything i can help with ill do.
