Converting From Fl Studio To Hardware

Im converting from FL studio to a hardware setup (tired of FL studio) and I need some advice.I just got the yamaha motif XS6 and now Im looking for a sequencer to use with it.These are my options:

1.Cubase 4 (the motif XS is setup to intergrate right into the sequencer of cubase 4)
2.MPC 3000 OR 2500
3.Roland MV8800

1.The reason I was thinking about cubase 4 is because the you can use the motif xs like a vst inside the sequencer and the motif has alot of new features the slicing and extended sampling.So I figured with the motif sounds and my vst plugins and the cubase 4 sequencer I would be straight.

2.I really like the sound of the mpc 3000 but it lacks alot features of the new mpc 2500 but overall there easy to use.If I got the 3000 the motif has alot of the 2500 features so Im up in the air on this one.

3.Ive heard alot of good things about the roland mv-8800 and played with it briefly at sam ash didnt seem that easy to use like the mpc but I heard once you get the hang of it, its well worth it.Up in the air on this too.

Let me know you guys advice on this I need to complete my studio and the main sequencer is the last thing on my list so any advice would be helpful

Doesn't the motif have a sequencer? I never fucked wit the xs..

Don't get a MPC3000 unless you really know what you doin, or you prepared to adhere to its work flow.

I prefer the workflow of the MPC1000 or 2500 (I'm sure the 4000 is a monster too).

Cubase can't hurt either, cuz you do need a Daw to track out.

I switched from fl and reason to mpc 1000, with the latest os3.0, and man that's a huge advatage compared to the os2.0, if you are used to some programming of difficult kick/hihat/whatever patterns the new features (like grid edit) will come in handy, kinda like drawing the melody on fl sequencer. And also for the choping, goesway faster automatically converts your chops into stereo instead of mono like it used ot be.

Im tired of the fl studio sequencer and the overall program, Ive just outgrown it and its time to move on to something better.

I love MPC's! But I dont know if I would say they are better than FL. Learn the tools you have, to keep changing tools will make you unproductive and your beats will suffer. You cant tell me you know everything there is to know about FL?

Oh so true, I agree. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Do you feel that it will make your tracks better? If that's the case then you're going about things the wrong way.

this is true to an extent. as always its the person not the program. BUT...having switched from FL to logic, i can say that FL simply lacks some major, major things that more professional DAW's have. thats not to say you can't produce pro level stuff with fl studio, not at all, but i do hear where original poster is coming from, Fl can get tiresome and definitely isnt the full package logic/pt is.

If you do get an mpc id say go with a 2500 now...the bugs are fixed in the akai o.s.....and theres even stabler 3rd party o.s that gives the mp crazy ass new features.

\as a mpc user...id say go with the mv just for the fact that imo you get the features and workflow of software that you love...but the perks and lovable features of hardware all in one.

Everybody thinks for the responses and advice Im going to stick it out with FL studio and just add more sounds to my collection.Someone said it if it ain't broke dont fix it.I just dont't have the time to learn a new peace of gear and FL Studio is seond nature to me so Im goin to stick with it.

I switched because i like hardware more than a computer the whole process of making everything directly off the record without needing a computer is great to me.

I might get me a mpc 2500 on a sweetwater payment plan, I think that will work really great because people say the pads on the 1000 suck and they break easily and they go out quick too soo I think i'll rely on a 2500 its basically a 1000 with a hindge screen and a few new features

northjack you might want to consider buying a used 4k, as i did, cause you can get that for the same price on ebay. mpc's don't suffer from being used before so i don't see much of a point in buying a 2.5k over 4k considering the differences in features.
