I'm wanting to set up a quick contract so that guy gets 50% of profits for his track, how do I do write that?

There may be something in there to help you out. Otherwise getting a solicitor to write one up for you might be the answer but that will cost some money.

You can also write up in plain simple language whatever you guys can agree on so he doesnt have to hire someone to understand what you had written.

I mean Im not being a samrtass, Im signing with some cats that forego that lawyer crap and draw up something that makes sense to both of us.

Does it cover absolutely every angle? Nope, prolly not, but its quite exceptable.
