Ive lived in the hills all my life. When i was 16 rented a house with some mates in the city. When the lease ended I decided i would go back home to the hills till i found another place to rent in the city. Im still at home in the hills.

After experiencing both the city and the hills, im convinced that the hills is the place to be. City has more shops, chicks, events etc but it can never match up to living in a place with fresh air and lots of trees n shit. I only live 30 mins from the city anyway so its not that far away at all.

Howabout everyone else here? City Slicker or Hill Billy?

I've lived in London (big), Thornbury (small), North Conway (small), Sierra Vista (small), Phoenix (big), Lille (big), and Calais (small).

Sierra Vista is a little town next to the border of Mexico in southern Arizona. My dad still lives there, so I go down a lot to visit him and old friends. It's a great time going down because there is a big mountain right behind where I grew up and some good mom and pop restaurants.

As a kid it kind of sucked growing up there because there was only one record shop and no places to hang out where the cops weren't chasing you. Now with the internet and I'm a little older, it's not so bad.

But I love big towns, especially London, and I get a great buzz whenever I go back to visit.

So, to answer your question: I prefer big cities but am a small-town guy at heart.

I'm definitely a city slicker. I've lived a bit outside Copenhagen once, bus only came every hour, no places to hang out, no record store, no 7-11 or stuff like that so you couldn't get anything after 6 pm etc. I hated it. I love living in Copenhagen and loved living in London even more. The bigger the better, I'd like to live in a place like New York. I love just being one among millions, that everybody doesn't know you, the many opportunities etc...though, I love having vacations in small places, and would probably want to retire to a small place when the time comes.

i live in the realms of illadelph... well not really... i live about 20 minutes away from center city in a suburn called laverock... its quiet... aside from my dog who barks a lot... and i spend most of my time chillin inside the crib... car broken down... and i dont feel like walking a mile to the bus stop...

i like the variety of the big city and the hustle... however ya cant beat coming home to peace and quiet.

^^^^ditto....ive lived in inner city detriot, and country ass savanah, georgia, now im livin in suburbian cuse and its aight, i can get a lil of both worlds...movin to manhattan next week for a few months...i can't wait..i might end up stayin down there

nah, I lived 15 years in the city and thought I'd never find anything better than the city life in san francisco I just moved out in a country town and i got to admit it kicks the citys ass! ..away from traffic, busses, so many people, its nice and chill good weather.. the city is a nice place to visit but i never want to live there again.

I've also come to find that anyone who has lived in the city and the country or hills prefer the country and hills way better. I used to think i would hate it in a small town but is waaay better in practically every sense except for all the events that go on in the city but fuck it if anything is worth seein in the city you can go visit it.

Yeah, I go to the "City" (San Francisco) every weekend and I could never live there but it is a great place to visit. Only problem is nothing goes on in the small towns. You have to drive about 30-40 min. to do something exciting.

been in both, must say that the country is more my thing as far as living goes. you can always drive where you need/want to go, but when you live in close quartered apartments and cant do certain things, where can you go? i am moving to a house on 5 acres just waiting to be developed and added to that is a good hundred yards from the nearest neighbors actual house, as they are sitting on a few acres as well. i could have a live band out there and it wouldnt make much of a difference.
