ill o.g.
i have a imac g4 powerpc computer which is currently running protools LE7 .1.4 and I'm backing up my boot drive with superduper so that i can load it into an intel macbook pro

now i have a firewire 500 maxtor one touch and im putting the clone on that drive so hopefully when i move the files to the laptop,i wont have to reinstall all the software and plugins

the reason im doing this is because i dont have the original copy of my protool's manual with the serial and I dont think i did any product registration so i need to know, is there a way for me to find my serial number of protools on my computer or call digidesign and get it from them?

can i run protools powerpc version on an intel mac with any 3rd party software?

this is a very confusing topic for me so could someone walk me through this?

i just want to put my old hardrive into the laptop so i dont have to tear my house up for this manual.

appreciate it.

get hold of your reg number - u don't want to be booting your intel mac off an os installed on a g4 machine.
Powerpc apps should run fine under intel; leopard os x has rosetta emulation for that purpose; native intel apps obviously run a lot smoother, but you shouldnt have any problems (provided you get hold of your registration number!)
