Compression ratio for Hip-Hop vocals

I am just posting to find out what compression ratios you use for hip hop vocals. I have messed around with a lot of configurations to try and best bring out the vocals without making them sound too bland.

There is standard settings with compressor, it has to be tailored to each individual track.

But try a 4:1 ratio as a starting point.

word NW, thats a great idea, not all ratios are goin to be exact, but havin a startin point helps!
