nah its a long story. basically what im gonna do once i get the new one is format the whole shit and use it for video editing. plus even tho its have 4 gb of ram, with 32 bit windows, you can only access 2 gb of it. the new shit will have vista 64 bit and 6 gb of ram. crazy fast.

Yo be careful with Vista 64. I had mad problems with it, some programs don't install on it and Vista would randomly NOT shut down. I tried everything, nothing worked so I went back to XP and everything's perfect.

No problems here other then driver compatibilities with Vista 64bit.

Yea kontents, only issues with vista 64 is like driver support (xp 64 has a few problems with driver support too) and shit other than it ain't that bad... although i'd prefer XP. I'm just more used to XP

does the desktop and the way to access shit like the control panel and all the other files the same in vista or how wuz it changed?

na dude it's pretty much the same shit, just a few different things are different like how folders are viewed and stuff but nothing big. It's targeted at the everyday user and it tries to have like an "easier" interface but it's all b.s., XP is easier for most people. If your already used to XP then you gon like XP betta than vista except for maybe it's looks and everything, which btw you can get a similiar but better skin for windows XP at http://www.istartedsomething.com/20061029/royale-noir/

i have vista on my laptop and i like it. the dope shit too is that if you plug a printer in with usb, vista automatically gets the drivers and installs it.
