I noticed in a couple of the setup pics, a few cats were using Casio 'boards and there midi controllers. I'm looking to get a new controller and was wondering if "all, some, most" of these are suitable substitutes for a $250 (61 key) "Pro" controller. I just need to trigger notes that it. -anyone?

If U Cop A Casio Controler With A Pitch Wheel And Modulation Wheel The Only Diffrence From Buyin The Pro Controller Is The Pro Controller Has Knobs U Can Assign To Diffrent Functions,u Wont Be Able To To Do With With A Casio But U Dont Really Need Em Either

All you need the casio is for the controller...you wont need the knobs..you can use software programs for effects if you need it

i suggest a dedicated midi controller. my experience with casios as controlers have been subpar- they do not react as well as other keyboards and their velocity/pressure sensitivity isnt that great unless you get a more expensive casio, in which case you are still better off with a dedicated midi board.

I coped a casio wk-1800 for 250$ approximately so its good cuz it worth 849$ + taxes. It got a good velocity and aftertouch. But most casio models are cheap so you betta look for a dedicated controller.
