Hey guys,
I am about to start trying to make beats using Reason on my Laptop. I know I need a MIDI controller so here are my two options to choose from at the Music store in my area in my price range. The AKAI professional LPK25 or the M-Audio AXIOM AIR Mini-32
Important factors:
I know how to play the Piano (and other instruments) and intent to incorporate traditional piano in my music but have no qualms about playing on a smaller keyboard.
I do want to make sample-based music.
I am not completely clear on the necessity of sample pads. and if the pads on the Axiom even count as such? I read the description but they are referred to as "Drum Pads".....
I just want a cheap MIDI controller that works and has every capability I will need to make beats.
Any advice or suggestions? thanks - John Doe
