Objective: A contest to create an official banner that represents ILLMUZIK.

Judges: You will be the judges.

Goal: The winning banner will be made available for the ILL fam to use to attach to pages such as your MySpace page, BeBo or whatever you want to put it on.

Intent: Build community, attract new artist, broaden our horizons.

Deadline for Completion: November 1, 2007 (2 weeks as of 10/17/2007)

PLEASE DO NOT START VOTING UNTIL AFTER ALL BANNERS ARE SUBMITTED (11/01/2007)

Even if you aren't an artist you can still contribute with your opinions. Let's all pitch in together and make this happen, it'll be fun and how cool would it be to have an official ILLMUZIK banner on your page? Start putting your ideas together.

I've been meaning to create some banners for the longest time but have constantly put it off (because of stuff like making sites instead of banners LOL) - so make a banner or a few then we'll all vote for the best one.

Size of banner: The standard web banner is 468x60 pixels, but for now make what you want. If your banner wins, then you can offer up various sizes.

This would my view:
It should be a graffiiti-style Illmuzik logo mixed with, whatelse, green, gray, and black colors traced along the letters of the logo

LOLOL how can we NOT have the word Illmuzik in the new logo?

Ill just keep changing my sig pic banner, I have alot of Illmuzik banners but I wouldnt recommend any of them as THE logo lol..Maybe itll spark some ideas tho!

You misunderstand me, I meant the typeface used for the word illmuzik wasnt very good, and plain white is also not the most dazzling of colours to use. If I had said that in the first place tho that would have helped.
Of course the word should be there, other wise people wouldnt know where they are and that wouldnt be very good now would it?

I have rediesigned the Illmuzik logo, I just have to see what fade thinks of it.

Nice fonts! I like those much better. I'm thinking that it needs to be personal as well as represent the site. "official member of..." or however it can be worded, otherwise it'll just look like another link or ad, but even thats just an idea. what do you think? I know you said we could run with it but most will follow the lead. keep um coming!

Actually that wasnt me that did that one, it was dacalion. But Im sure as hell gonna steal the idea.
I was thinking more along the lines of "Officially ILL Member of IllMuzik.Com"
or "Down With The ILL, Official ILLMuzik Member. www.illmuzik.com" That sort of shiznit.

Thanks man, it took me long enough.
Its better than the ones I do for my own website.
Maybe its just my competetive nature, I cant help myself when there is a competition, lol

I like some of the fonts you have used, as well as the font used on the ambigram one. Altho im not feeling the actual ambigram, its a bit too vague and very hard to make out. I thought the graffitti font id chosen was a bit hard to read, but that ambigram(i take it that ambi is short for ambiguous) is the next level of "cant make it out".
A good idea tho, just looks more like a tribal tattoo.
