I have never produced a damn thing, nor learned an instrument other than guitar basics. Have the deepest rooted respect for music though so I want to be a part of it. UG HipHop is by far my focal point but love all sorts of composition.

Bought me a trigger finger and have an old Midi Keyboard that I am trying to hook up to a computer in my room and get me a nice decent little setup.

Can I use both the trigger and keyboard plugged up through USB, or do I need a sound card/audio interface to get the most of it? I am looking into an ACER 22" screen as we speak as well. Gotta see what your doin!

I'm apart of Orange County, actually close to Winter Park, near University of Central Florida (UCF). Florida's a great place, lived here for about a year already. Where did you move to bro?

south mississippi of all places. UCF is a nice area, and probably a good spot to be for music as well. Have you checked out the music scene much downtown? That place is PACKED with talent. You really need to check sol.illiquist of sound (however thats spelled) if you havent already heard of them. Used to talk to swamburger a bit, and another dude called SKIP, all those dudes downtown know what good music is.

Welcome to Ill mate!

You should just be able to have the midi controllers (keyboard and triggerfinger) running through USB. That's what I do. I've got the Oxygen 8 and a Triggerfinger and they both work great like that.
