What's the point of a bridge? And how do you guys go about making one in a beat?

its a break in the beat, usually found in R&B songs so the singer can cresendo into the final hook, usually i just invert the chourds of the beat or use the realtive minor for a brige, it can be anything from a slight varation to a totally differnt beat....

depends, varititon is always goods its not really nesscary in hip hop, but its definalty a must in R&B
