I have a 2 bar sample at 129 BPM. I tried time stretching it to slow it down a bit. It really just screws up the sound. Even a little bit, I'm not happy with it.

I tried chopping it up and arranging it to 2 bars on the sequencer at a slower tempo. There's gaps and such, still not happy with it.

I'm wondering how can I flip this sample correctly? I want to slow it down to maybe about 90-100. More Hip Hop you know? And then play my drums on top and add these one shots in.

In need of some input, thanks you all.

I would try to use the time stretch on each section you chop out, and then recreate the loop...other than that, Wave Lab seems to have a better timestretch than my Cool Edit Pro 2.0 (I don't know about the new version though).

Other than that, u can cut up the sample like u have done, and to prevent there from being any noticeable gaps, stick a reasonable amount of reverb and a slight delay on the sample in Reason, this will sorta "carry" the sound through, maknin the gap less noticeable...
