I have to disagree with you. Assistant coaches are extremely underrated in the NFL. Out here in Denver I've witnessed first hand what happens when a head coach tries to do everything. There is simply too much to be done for one man to make all the decisions all the time.

Instead of letting Charlie take care of the play calling on offense while he thinks up defensive strategies with Romeo and vice versa. Bill will have to do the play calling himself. Leaving him little time to orchestrate his schemes on either side of the ball on the fly. Thus hindering the Pats ability to adjust on the fly.

If they do win another one, they are no question the best team of all-time coached by the best to ever do it.
