Best software for mastering?

Can anyone let me know their opinons on what is the best software for mastering? I know of some already, like protools and cubase, but are there any more affordable software programs out there? or u can just let me know what u guys use the most.

try T racks, its decent and affordable, as is soundforge 6, or 7, and wavelab 4 & 5, but since you asked for the best, then IMO its Waves series. they have a price tag to say why too, so be warned.

Nah bruh, Acid, Fruity Loops, and Reason are SEQUENCERS. Reason might have a compression module that I don't know about, but for the most part they are SEQUENCERS. I use Acid, love Acid, but I wouldn't use it to master a track if my life depended on it. I don't even use Acid's realtime plugins......

I use Sound Forge 6.0 for mastering, but i've heard great things about T-Racks and Ozone. Once I get a hold of the programs, it's a wrap.......
