U GUYS MUST BE CRAZY TO SAY THAT PAC SUCKED......Biggie was wittier and maybe more clever, as is jay-z, than PAC. But in truth no one held it down like PAC. No one made more classics..no one ever could fuc wit him on the battle tip..no one else inspired the black youth like Pac. Sure krs was inspirational, but no way he aroused your emotions like Pac..Evry word was felt when pac ryhmed..Pac was also the most versatile and out of evry rapper in history, also the most believable..he lived his ryhmes..he wasn't on sum fake ass talkin shit but not doin shit bullshit like em(beefin wit pop stars gets you NO respect my friend), and ja rule(need i say more). PAC's #1 ans NAS #2 because those are 2 rappers you can FEEL THE MOST..i could give a fuc about hot lines...to me the best are the ones with the most charisma, the black leaders, the ones that make you want to get off ya ass and be sumthin....aight im out a control ill stop...gettin a headache

No No , I was not saying that since your from Derby, that I know more about Hip Hop, I don't know shit about "Hip Hop". I was jsut saying I can see maybe why you don't feel Pac cause he was rappin about things more directed toward certain elements, that you may not be familiar with, thats all. No disrepect to your soil.

I think sometime words do come across the same as saying them when you typing them.

I don't know. I don't know you, but if millions of people love that fool to death , and you say he sucks, It something you not getting, that they understand. Pac is your favorite rappers favorite rapper. ASK YOUR BOY M&M

But what you said about him not saying nothing new, nobodies is saying nothing "new", we all rapping in english, it how you say it and apply the words. SOMETIMES IT AINT ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY, ITs HOW YOU SAY IT.

1. IF YOU SEE 13 YEAR OLD GIRL PREAGNANT OR SELLING THEY BODY, THEN YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND "BRENDA GOT A BABY'

2.IF YOU SEE YOUR FRIEND MOTHER ON CRACK, BUT THEY STILL HAVE LOVE FOR EACH OTHER, THEN YOU MIGHT UNDRSTAND " DEAR MOMA"

3. IF YOU FROM CALI THEN YOU WOULD LOVE "CALIFORNAI LOVE"

4. IF YOU EVER BEEN STRESS THE F OUT AND WAS READY TO JUST RIDE FOR YOUR MONEY AND GET YOUR LIFE RIGHT, YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND " AMBITION OF A RIDER'

A HARVARD STUDENT COULD COME WITH All THE ILLEST WORDS, BUT IF THE CONVICTION AND THE PAIN AINT THERE THEN, ITS JUST WORDS. But I feel a little stupid cause the topic was tightest lyricist, not rapper. Rakim was the one to take it beyond, but his voice did a lot for that too.

What really defines "The Best"? .... is it how many sucessfull albums you came out with? ........ how many classic songs you had? ........ How much money you made off the rap game? ...... personal opinion? ........... the list can be endless on what you base your opinion on. Example - If you want to say B.I.G. is better than 2Pac ...... what facts could you pull out that would validate your opinion. It couldn't be that B.I.G sold more records than 2pac because he didn't. It couldn't be that B.I.G. put out more albums than 2pac because he didn't. It couldn't be that B.I.G. had more classic songs than 2pac because he didn't. I'm not saying that 2Pac is better or that B.I.G. is better but its all a matter of opinion and it shouldn't be argued ..... its a waste of time.

I think that they both deserve respect but everybody gonna choose one or the other in a debate.......if you got a room of MC's in a room you gonna have some influenced by PAC and some by BiG or somebody else....for whatever reasons......I just can't get PAC out of my mind when Digital underground was out, because you read the credits and you're like TU what?...Tupack b4 anyone really really knew who he was and he became thuggified...LOL.....anyhow that whole running around with the stupid hats I just can't get that wackness out of my head I guess its on the level of Dre running around with tights on in a funk band....

blah, bah, blah................ we will all have our opinion, some of us like others better. i personally think mos def was a better artist then both, i think jay z is better then both.. i think nas is better then both, now what? everyone will tel me i am insane, that i dont kow what i am talking about and that i MUST not know a thing about hip hop. right?
well, the thing is that we all appreciate different aspects of an artist and what makes them great will mean different things to each of us.. so yeah

soundboy, you have a half valid point, half because you can transplant any artist and us the same rules to to judge by.

look at talib kweli: if you have ever felt stressed out and hopeless, and you were tired of "just getting by" you would understand "get by"

if you have ever felt grateful to your parents for toughing out the hard times with each other so that your childhood would be just a little better, you would understand "memories live"

if you have ever felt like your friends, relatives, co-workers, WHOEVER, wasting their life away and you couldnt understand why, you would understand his verse on "thieves in the night"

what about big? if you came out of nowhere as the kid everyone picked on to become the man in your hood, you would understand "missing you"

what about nas? my brother has been locked up for most of the last 7years, and he's only 17. i very much understand what "one love" is all about.

the point being that there are many artist who elicit the same emotions, the same love/pain/conviction that pac did, and for each of us that person is different and it effects us in different ways.
