The next competition will be from September 26-27! See the information below.

Signups

The signups will be on September 26th at 10am ET, and end around 8pm ET, or until we have enough contestants (whichever comes first - depending on the theme). Voting will be for 1 day, on September 27th, where the results will be posted the same day.

Go here to signup (click the "signup" tab - it will open up on the signup day)

Theme: NONE

Time Limit: 60 SECONDS

  • You can make any style of beat but the time limit is 60 SECONDS!

You can use whatever sounds you want, samples, synths, just remember to read the rules for the rest of the restrictions. What the judges will be looking for is originality, creativity, mixing skills and overall dopeness!

Voting

If you are competing, you will be able to vote but not for yourself. DO NOT TRY TO CHEAT! I will be watching for cheaters. This means you cannot sign up under different names or get your friends and family to sign up either. If you are caught cheating you could be banned.

Beats

All the beats will now be displayed in a random order and without any names. All you will see is: Beat #001, Beat #002, etc. This is so that there is no favoritism when voting.

Rules

If you're not sure about the rules, read this thread.

If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions about the competition, please post them in here.

I don't know what you're trying to pull, @Fade , but this whole 60 second beat idea probably isn't something that you want to catch on--think about it for a minute. If producers start giving rappers 60 second beats, we'd miss out on all of the soulful "skrrrttt"'s, "wooop"'s, "Killuh"'s and "brrrrrrrrr-appp"'s that pepper these testaments to ones lyrical prowess, as there'd be no time for them. On the upside, I suppose it would allow us to get to the meat of the track--you know: bling, bitches, Bugatis & lean--so I guess it wouldn't be all bad. :D

@eXACT , well bruh I guess you need to get creative cause this has been going on for years now...every Beat This Competition is different..Fade throws a challenge at us to test how creative we are...and if you sell beats with BeatStars or Beatport then your beats are only 30secs to 1 min long...I sell beats to rappers all day everyday with beats they listened to that we're under a minute...So I guess you also might have a problem with the Warzone competition..cause those beats are only 1 min long...just cut out those long ass. Intro's and like you said" get to the meat of it"....I like that..lol

a good mixture of hip-hop & trap beats today...and whom ever did the beat with the "price is right " jingle...that was really creative..i definitely was diggin on that one....good luck to everybody today!!!!!
