The next competition will be from October 10-11! See the information below.

Signups

The signups will be on October 10th at 10am ET, and end around 8pm ET, or until we have enough contestants (whichever comes first - depending on the theme). Voting will be for 1 day, on October 11th, where the results will be posted the same day.

Go here to signup (click the "signup" tab - it will open up on the signup day)

Theme: RHODES

Time Limit: 2 MINUTES

  • Your beat must have a RHODES keyboard sound throughout!
  • In case you're not sure, check this video.

You can use whatever sounds you want, samples, synths, just remember to read the rules for the rest of the restrictions. What the judges will be looking for is originality, creativity, mixing skills and overall dopeness!

Voting

If you are competing, you will be able to vote but not for yourself. DO NOT TRY TO CHEAT! I will be watching for cheaters. This means you cannot sign up under different names or get your friends and family to sign up either. If you are caught cheating you could be banned.

Beats

All the beats will now be displayed in a random order and without any names. All you will see is: Beat #001, Beat #002, etc. This is so that there is no favoritism when voting.

Rules

If you're not sure about the rules, read this thread.

If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions about the competition, please post them in here.

Definitely not winning this one, but I love the Rhodes theme. Good luck everyone!

Beats are dope, everybody got the theme right. but i thought the beats would be more mellow, at least that is what Fade was hoping for...but it amazes me how some of you will put a trap beat to anything..lol...but honestly, everybody did an awesome job!!!!!....GOOD LUCK Y'ALL

Man, there are beats which are ham!!!! I had two beats I loved!!! But the one with the tighter kicks got my vote. The other one had such an amazing groove to it but almost no low end, if it where different I would've voted for this one (the one who took that vinyl sounding sample with the rhodes and the electric guitar) Good job guys!

this battle wasn't too hard to vote for in my opinion, there were 2 I liked, but the winner today has an incredible beat, shit sounds like a boxing training montage feel to it...amazing skills with the Rhodes from a few other cats, for my vote I was looking for the Rhodes to be the main feature of the beat, not the drums, which ink a few of you guys seemed to fall into, there could only be 1 winner, this beat was incredibly satisfying to vote for...pz

Great work from the contestants. I have one honest critique though; Some of y'all need to learn what a fender rhodes piano is. Some of the beats had a basic piano with effects on the chords. If we are producers we should now the difference. NOT HATING on anyone but I'm just saying. I voted and listened to every submission. Still overall quality submissions!
