The next competition will be from July 17-18th! See the information below.

Signups

The signups will be on July 17th at around 8am ET, and end around 8pm ET. Voting will be for 1 day, on July 18th, where the results will be posted the same day.

Theme: NONE

You can use whatever sounds you want, samples, synths, just remember to read the rules for the rest of the restrictions. What the voters will be looking for is originality, creativity, mixing skills and overall dopeness!

Dope entries. I'd like to know what program or hard ware all the contestants used.
I use Garageband. (I know I should upgrade, but I've been using it for so long... since around '06 lol) I recorded all instruments live. No samples. For keys I used an Akai MPK midi controller, for guitars I used a Gibson Les Paul Studio and a Johnson with Lace Chrome Dome pickups (slide guitar), and the bass guitar I used was left behind from a college roommate... Its an SX with Line 6 pickups. Recorded through a Tascam US-2x2 audio interface. Nothing fancy...

Nicely done with that beat though. Sounds really good. I like your style.

I use an mpc 2000xl to make my beats. arturia microbrute (mono synth) for my basslines and logic x to mix down.
i like my setup right now, im quick with it and the work flow is never a dull moment. just need to get better at mixing aha
