I think there is something to be said for this.
I also think the quality of beats on ill is on a different level to when I first signed up at the start of 2022. Probably down to everyone upping their game and trying to compete at a level they see others reaching.
I know it's probably been 20 years with the voting system but wondered if there's even been an option to vote for your top 3? I really struggled to pick a winner and felt there was nothing in it really. Started looking at the smallest of nuances. Arguably 4 or 5 could have taken it. Worth noting even with almost 30 beats entered that there was no
@2GooD Productions on this occasion.
I agree i think recent season the level of quality in beats has gone up a lot.
It's funny you mention about the voting thing - I mentioned before it'd be great to give everyone up to 2-3 votes to use.
The concept being... let's say UserA gets 3 votes, and UserB got 1 vote, UserA wins...
But let's say both beats were incredible, and majority of voters were pulled between them or others; let's give a new example with multiple votes...
UserA receives 4 votes, as it was 3 peoples favorite and 1 person runner up. UserB now receives 6 votes, because it was 1 persons fave, 3 peoples runner up and 2 peoples torn-between vote.
UserB now wins.
It's an interesting concept that I am personally quite keen on, as for 1 - I struggle picking a favorite too often. And 2, I think it would paint a more accurate picture of the standout beats.
I would love to have couple of votes - sometimes I've not voted because I could not decide between two beats.
However, the voting system been spoken about a good few times and looks like the current method is here to stay.
Good to see this time was brought up for positive reasons!
