great beat again @thekoolkrush ! i'm gonna vote for (which I guess is) your beat or maybe another one, that could be from @2GooD Productions or possibly @P.A.T. it's weird because they're not really similar. it's hard for me to figure out who @P.A.T. is and with all the new faces, i'm not sure about anything right now. love the very minimal beat too, but I doubt it's not enough jazzy. imho all the beats that sound like a band playing are well done, so many sick bass lines! Actually I like the MPC style too...

The key is not going too jazzy - it's still gotta be hip-hop, I think sometimes (done myself before) you can get sidetracked and miss out on some of the key markers for making the song 'hip-hop'. Seen before where people have literally just made jazz, or reggae or whatever the theme was.

Appreciate that fr it was a jazzy loop from Looperman but I chopped it up and built everything around it — drums, bounce and arrangement.
