The next competition will be from April 24-25th! See the information below.

Signups

The signups will be on April 24th at 10am ET, and end around 8pm ET, or until we have enough contestants (whichever comes first - depending on the theme). Voting will be for 1 day, on April 25th, where the results will be posted the same day.

Go here to signup (click the "signup" tab - it will open up on the signup day)

Theme: REMIX

Time Limit: 3 MINUTES

  • You must make a full song using this Travis Scott acapella.
  • The BPM is 155.
  • The zip file contains the acapella and the instrumental so you can match it up to your beat (just to make sure you're at the same tempo).
You can use whatever sounds you want, samples, synths, just remember to read the rules for the rest of the restrictions. What the judges will be looking for is originality, creativity, mixing skills and overall dopeness!

Voting

If you are competing, you will be able to vote but not for yourself. DO NOT TRY TO CHEAT! I will be watching for cheaters. This means you cannot sign up under different names or get your friends and family to sign up either. If you are caught cheating you could be banned.

Beats

All the beats will now be displayed in a random order and without any names. All you will see is: Beat #001, Beat #002, etc. This is so that there is no favoritism when voting.

Rules

If you're not sure about the rules, read this thread.

If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions about the competition, please post them in here.

maybe I'll finally win a Beat This! Competition. Not so hard when it's me VS me
LOL. Usually themes bring in less signups and something like this with vocals is even harder. But I thought maybe a bunch of people would be up for the challenge. This is why the "no theme" ones are best since it's so straightforward.

I'm going to have to catch up on the next competition..I got the flu.. don't get me wrong I tried but no matter what I did I just wasn't feeling it..and my ears are all plugged up..and this competition is an easy one...but hopefully I will feel good enough to vote tomorrow.. good luck everyone

Wow, this is really disappointing. There doesn't seem to be much interest in this theme I guess. Not many signups so far. :wtf:
Not At All @Fade , its a really dope theme, the thing is that you didnt pick a appropriate song. That song is really unique, both the vocal and the beat. So nobody had any beat to fit with the acapella, so people had to make fresh beats and mix it with the acapella which is Really hard in this case and takes time... And most people here would rather make boom baps, that acapella is kinda trappy.

I loved this theme but i had exams so i had no time :/

If the majority doesnt want to participate in themed battles its because :

1 : they dont have time
2 : they aint pro enough to make beats from every genre
3 : the theme wasnt their thing

I mean No offence But fuck the majority, if u remove themes then there will be nothing to seperate real/creative producers from the other beatmakers. Let one-dimensional monkeys be happy with beat it up, Beat This is where the real ones battle, even if theres only 3 people. The less the people are, means the ones who participated should get more credit.

Its fun to hear this from a guy who only won some beat it ups and an aotb.
