Dude I know everyone is joking around and playing but mental health issues are very real and I’m glad as a society we are finally de stigmatizing it.
yes, mental illness is very real, half of us will have mental issues at some point in our lives.
People with mental health issues need proper support, they dont need their mental illness to be politicised as a weapon against everybody else. They certainly also dont need to be exploited by people with agendas, destroying their lives with life changing medications that cannot be reversed. Vulnerable people need help and support, not exploitation and not necessarily medication.
I myself have been in a period of depression, my doctor advised me against the anti depressant route, Im glad he did.
There is a difference about saying you care about the mental health of people for social media brownie points, and actually wanting them to get the help they will, and so many of us will need at some point. I dont think mental illness is being destigmatized, I think its being used as a tool against the majority to use the "rights" of a tiny minority to take away the rights of everybody, so nobody wins in the end except government. I still cant get over the fact that some people still believe the government cares about their wellbeing.
The constitution was created to protect from over reaching government, because power only pursues more power.
I have a fucked up sense of humour, I say things straightforwardly, that doesnt make me any more heartless.
Personally Im a bit fed up with people unable to manage their own emotions, how can mental illness be stigmatized when mental illness is becoming the norm? When irrationality and senselessness becomes the norm what does it mean to be mentally ill?
I think if China and Russia teamed up with India, Iran and Brazil, would our crop of "men" with their dyed hair, low testosterone levels and low tolerance for words and opinions that dont rigidly match their own be able to defend us?
I dont think so.
