watup my mom took me x-mas shopping and I told the guy at Long and Mac that i wanted a descent pair of studio headphones under $150 and he told me the Audio Technica ATH-M30 Headphones would probably be my best buy

So are they good or did my mom just waste a Bill on these ?

also im kinda pissed considering i just looked on ebay and seen them for $40.00 usd. which is about $50.00 can (thanks G Dubya)

yo dawg, i was able to get my pair off of ebay new for 47 dollars.....ive had em for a few months now and they're GREAT! real real sick, so nice to put on a pair when ur blunted........if those used ones have been used regularly for more than one week then dont buy em......but yeah, ath-m30's are nice as hell

ya I think they should do the job im just pissed that I paid $100 i should of checked ebay first cuz tehy was like $40 cheaper on ebay

holdina pair in my hands right now.. love these headfones... especialy to dj with. liteweight.... damn 100 for em... i paid 50 usd for em new @ jnr music world in manhattan.... worth the money (even tho it was out my last 70 cash to last for the following week lol)

no there not. beleive me. i dont even know the model u have.... but theres a big difference between sound quality, powerhandling, sound output, and wear.... ive used and or owned most model headfones (except for the high end akg 1's) from the 10$ koss to the 200$ sonys and theres a difference.

Well as long as My sounds are more clear and crisp and i aint gettin distortion well i make my beats now ill be very happy with these

one of the major differences between the more expensive headphones and the low cost are the frequency ranges they pick up. If your using headphones for critical listening on your mixes you need to pickup a pair of cans that pickup a wide range, otherwise your not going to hear everything in your mix. Sure the cheaper headphones may "sound" good but they don't give you a very accurate picture of your music, they're just meant to sound loud which some people assume as being better. For serious mixing though switch between the headphones and your best studio monitors.
