I could be wrong about this but this is what I was told...
There is a difference between the 40, 60 and 80 gig model PS3's...the 40 and 60 are surposed to be able to play PS2 games. The 60 gig is surposed to be the most versitle PS for now. The 80 gig was built to have the ability to expand and grow in the future whereas the 40 and 60 won't.
I have the PS2 slim and the PS3 80 gig so I don't know if this information is true or not. I havent tried playing PS2 games on the 3 yet mainly because I know that the PS3 games have much better graphics (in general) so why bother?(JMO).
I think Pug is the gamer guru around here, he might know for sure.

PS3 switched over to a software emulator to play PS2 games. You'd get better graphics off your PS2 when playing PS2 games. When the PS3 first dropped they actually used the EE (Emotion Engine) processor which was the chip that drove the PS2, but theyve switched from hardware emulation to software emulation due to financial reasons (i'm sure you heard about that shit how Sony was losing money for every PS3 sold), so unless you got the first versions of the PS3 then you might as well play your PS2 games on a PS2. I wouldn't really care though lol, i'm lazy, i'd just stick the game in a PS3 if I had one.

3rd I have been researching this all day and t turns out that the 60g one is the only one that will effectively play "many" ps2 games.
The euro vesions of the 60 actually have hardware that will play the ps2 games.The 40 will not in any way shape or form play ps2 games. I havent gotten to the bottom of the 80gig prob yet to know if it can be emulated or not yet.
I understand that some 80g versions use a software that emulates the ps2 hardware.

not that anybody cares, but i'm still not interested in the current gen systems. none of them have a bunch of games that appeal to me and though i still love sports games, specifically football, online gaming does nothing for me. so i'm sticking to my ps2 and my flip top/swapmagic system and ps1/nintendo snes/gameboy/ds emu's on the comp for gaming

Hey, my girl just picked up a Wii forherself, I bought Super Smash Bros Brawl & Mario Kart, she got two games I can't remember, something Rayman Rabid Rabbits & Super Monkey Ball. ANYWAYS, what are some other good Wii games to get besides the obvious (Zelda, Mario Galaxy)? I'm also online so I'd like to test the multiplayer at some point, I don't know my friend code or whatever just yet though.
