yeah, but the mpc1k has a full adsr ( envelope ) and your 400$ machine doesnt, something you'd wish you had now lol! I think the only thing you can do is set the start point so that is matches the speed of strum in sync over the beat...

i can always envelope in audition

if u have reason just load it into the nnxt. so much easier. Or even the SR202 VST plugin. i believe its free. or Konakt from native instruments (vst).

change the attack on the compressor or limiter...but changing the attack wont do much cuz that aint even ur problem...its just gonna compress the sample faster ..just get a piece of of the beginning of the sample and put it rite before the orignal sample drops at the top na mean loop it so it can have that natural fullness to it...
