Mixed Martial Arts. MMA baby all the way.
Anybody that wants to learn boxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Muay Thai, and a plethora of other martial arts should check it out. Its not as expressive an art form as Wu shu, which is used in movies. (think Jet Li). But If you like to scrap or just like to train or just like to learn varying martial arts this is hands down the Illest martial art that is always evolving. New submissions new moves from other martial arts new fighters all day every day.
Bruce Lee wanted to take what works and said F tradition and black belts and forms. He trained with boxers, wrestlers, and submission experts like Karl Gotch and was the predictor of MMA. Bruce Lee also stated that it is an art. So one person may like the art of Wu shu and fancy flips, but if you like to train hardcore MMA is the meat and potatoes of martial arts.
The only drawback is you get a lot of ignorant suckas that just want to fight and don't respect or give a thought about how the sport has evolved. But every sport like boxing has bums in it. Right now MMA is still in its growing stages. Like when boxing came out people were like that's barbaric, which people think bout MMA. But look at the light heavyweight champ 45 yr old Randy Couture who is in top condition only 1 death in all MMA history as opposed to hundreds in boxing. I just had to defend MMA cause I love it. So yeah I go to schools and learn out here in Chicago.
