the best shit i keep for myself no doubt but .. the fact is there is no formula to what gets picked and sold and what doesnt .. i make tracks in all genres, hip hop , r&b, dancehall, even some straight dance music... some i like some i dont .. alot of the shit im not feelin people cant get enough of.. some of my bangers have gotten passed over repeatedly... some beats i hate get sold fast as shit... classic knows what im talkin bout some of the beats classic made and played for me he didnt like but i heard em and jumped all over them for the album were doing.. its all relative and hard to predict.. i keep what I like but that doesnt really mean a damn thing cuz evrybodys got diffrent tickers
the agrument i have here is that ... someone pays me 50-150 for a beat .. thats a steal.. if there local (and not crazy) ill even let them come by and record the shit if im not busy wit other shit ... now there getting a quality track with a decent mix( im no engineer but i dont get any complaints about the mix quality) for less than the studio time alone would cost them at some other studios..... people understand that ..... they also know that imma hustler by nature and im on the lookout for my big break... plus they never signed a contract wit me just straight cash ...they have no right to the beat and they know that... they know the deal .. ill refund somebody the 50 bones they paid if jay z wants to use my shit feel me?. ... im not saying i go around purposely tryin to sell beats to more than one person but if it so happened where someone wants a beat and there gonna pay me 5-10gs for something i sold to my homeboy for 50 dollars then i would be a retard to say no.. would anybody here say no? thats the question im asking
i understand its a bad business pratice in theory but my clients understand the deal...im just lookin to place on a major right now .. once i get my foot in the door evrything will be legit and proper done through a lawyer with signatures, notaries , and guarantees on evrything but for now like open mind said ...MONEY SPEAKS!
