I am very new to FL (just got it a week ago) and i havent been able to stop playing with it.Two nights ago i ran into a problem that somebody more expirienced may be able to help me with. I cannot figure out how to stretch a note to make it last longer without making it sound like shit. I'm sure you guys are way past problems like this, so thanks for putting up with my newbie ass

That depends.... what knid of sound is it? If its a "stretchable" sound, you'll know by looking at the sample wave. If it is, there will be some red bars in the wave reprensenting the part of the sound that is played over and over when you ask fruity to do so... Well to do that (to ask fruity), you should click on "Use Loop point" (that's how those red bars are called) in the channel setting window.
You could also do it with the piano roll, but you could go to http://www.flstudio.com/help/ and look into it too.

If you got the wav editor with fl you can loop it til it is one consistant ongoing sound and save the loop points. When you open it up in a sampler channel, select use loop points. If you have sound forge you can also set loop points in that software; go to your manual and research loop points.
