Brave New World is a fantastic book... As is Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. Both raise some disturbing issues that may not be so far-fetched as we like to believe.

George Orwell, real name Eric Blair was an insider. He was certainly not somebody who was dreaming all this up - like many believe, and see him as a prophet. The original ending was changed in this movie by the CIA.

Orwell and Huxley in the same thread! Had to come in and just say that I'm a huge fan of both. anyone who hasn't read 1984 should pick it up immediately, orwell has been rolling in his grave for years. (darkly) funny stuff!

Brave New World is a fantastic book... As is Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. Both raise some disturbing issues that may not be so far-fetched as we like to believe.
