*An absolutely GREAT QUESTION*

OK fellaz, I'm an Acid Pro user, and I have a good question for anyone in here who uses it as well. If I take a clip from an old song, (like a short vocal clip,) how can I higher the pitch of it, but stretch it out to be as long as it was? By this I mean, if the vocal clip is 2 measures long, how I can change the voice to a higher pitch without making the whole clip play faster, (thus making it shorter than the 2 measures it originally was.) Someone please help me, I seriously appreciate it guys.

*I'll give that a try right now... I'm not familiar with the term "semitone," (lol I know it's pretty self explanatory,) but I'll funk with it a little. Thanks man.

*KEEP THE REPLIES COMING, IF HE WAS WRONG, HELP ME OUT

yeah a semitone is a division of an octave I think, and I didn't look that up ....but it can be raised or lowered to change the pitch of the clip....it's useful for bass lines in acid that are just simple if you got a nice bass sample and you want to use the same bass and make a melody....

Yeah I have Acid 4... as for the semitone thing - whenever I have the wav selected and I right click it to change the semitone, the option is disabled. (Grey, you know, you can't click it.) Do I have to do something to original wav first, like save it a certain way, or compress it or something? If so, please explain in detail how lol.

ok cool yeah I don't know why that happens because I have seen that happen to loops b4 too..I think you can change and individual track's pitch also.....in addition to a clip...is the sample read only or off of a cd? you can save it again or take the read only attribute off if it's enabled.

you don't have to do anything to the original wav file.
it has to work the way you describe, just right click.

I tryed to find out but could not find it.
