Not for nothing i played wit it at sam ashe n the sounds are wack....... nothing sounds "real: to me on it. Plus my boy at the store says its not a real good machine. Personally i didnt like it. it kida feels like a real expensive casio keybord.
Ur better bet is a Phantom, i got a triton le but in my opinion the Phantom sounds are WAY better triton drums are great tho.

the sequencer options are still bein worked on for the Fusion... keep the MPC 1000. its always good to have a sampling drum sequencer, and a workstation. i think thats the perfect set up. oh yea... hollowsun did the same thing for the MPC1000... maybe u can find it... i dont see it, it might be on an MPC site.

I check it out also. I can say it's bangin. The sound are well put together. I guess you just got to do the research and see if it's really what you need at this point. ARe you a keyboardist in a band that need the functinality of this piece of equipment. Are you a studio musician who needs the sequenceing portion or Just looking for a keyboard that you can take on the rode with you to do production. It a lot of factors that play into why you need this keyboard.

Alesis says in Os 2.0 they're supposed to add many more features i.e. Compact Flash Type I and Type II (Flash and Microdrives), SATA HD and (by Winter 2005/2006) CD-RW capabilities.

I emailed Alesis about when Os 2.0 was droppin they had no clue.

Oh if you ever want to add more ram in it, good luck. It uses some weird proprietary memory called "E2/E3 Sdram”, and has to be bought in sticks of 2. 128mb each.
Alesis had informed me in an email no matter who installs the memory, Alesis tech, authorised dealers or yourself. While the machine is open it’s not under warranty by them. That’s my main reason for returning the machine, and the sampler sucked.

Other than that the machine is really good.

this guy shows how to install upgrades for the fusion.

dont give up the mpc till ur comfortable with the Fusion's sampler and sequencer. its not nearly as good as my RS7000 sequencer, and the MPC is about even with the RS in that department. i would keep both, unless u need the money.
