Is the album dead considering the streaming era of music affecting listeners, or are albums only being done by established artists and which is more or less listenable, albums or EPs?

You can drop an EP as a teaser for the LP...

But yes, an EP appears to be sufficient these days.

I don't know about others, but for myself, an album will always be where one can really go all out musically and tell a great story.
EP are good for promo and get your name out there, but as an artist, I wouldn't see it without doing any albums, albums are important milestones in music, EP is more product/consumer kind of stuff, and I don't see my public as customers, music is something that we share and something that is deeply meaningful.
Business wise, EP make sense, but as a musician, I'll do albums and I see them as very important (btw, my 1st is out :D )

I agree with all the statements above in terms of the comparison. I have produced a couple of EP's for artists and can definitely agree that it helps with the promo and in getting a name out or product. The amount of time and effort placed in a full stream album is like non-other though... I definitely do prefer the album in terms of the story.
