Haha..thats funny, i agree too, but i dont think that BlockHead even needs to be grouped in tha same catagory as Em's prod...Their 2 totally different beasts. Which album are you speaking about regarding yer statement cuz on his newest album: Bazooka Tooth, he producer nearly all of it himself. All prior albums are a cat named BlockHead, whos been with Aesop since he started.

is this topic about Aesop Rock's production or Blockheads production?

G@vin.....Aesop Rock is one person, not a group.

Deuce.....I thought that Bazooka Tooth was produced exclusively by El-p. no? Btw, production on Labour Days is not strictly blockhead. Aes produced tracks 1, 6, 9 and 10. track 6 is a fucking DOPE DOPE DOPE DOPE DOPE DOPE DOPE beat. it has the maddest bassline. Aesop rock has mad skills with producing. hes been producing for about 8 years. his production on Labour Days is solid as a rock. hes definitly a better MC than producer but track 6 on labour days shows that he has potential to be as good at both. Blockheads production skills go without saying.

was Eminems name picked ot of a hat for this one?

oh and note--el-p only did one track on bazooka tooth (track 9 i believe) the rest is aes rock and a couple from blockhead

Hey, I don't have the CD liner here and can't find it online, but if that is the only track on the album produced by El-P, it is sad that he had to use his production for a diss song of Esoteric. I think they should keep the disses off of full albums, don't they have better things to talk about. Besides, I didn't think "Bazooka Tooth" was all that anyway, maybe he should go back to letting Blockhead produce some more. I mean he is a good producer but he's no Blockhead. Or how about getting some RJ production on there...

Yes...yes I am.

You know me too well.....so you know I gots to kill you now. My girl had me doing all kinds of dumb HGTV Home improvement sh*t this weekend. I spent $400 on lights.....lights son! I was supposed to get a turntable stand and she some how used her ass powers to trick me into get hallway lights... And then I had to put them up myself and so it looks like a blind monkey slapped that sh*t up. And you know they act like they can't get nothing done without a brotha so they squeezing 60 hours a week out of me. So I am missing all kinds of sleep right now.

Just to swing this back into some Aesop relation....

I still can't pull down 70% of what he is saying, but my boy Abysmal breaks it down for me and he is very sic and way advanced. I think he beats are tight but I think most of it is his charisma. Some of his beats you can't bump by themselves but once he starts flowing on it....complete goodness...

I am gonna try and remix some of it as soon as I can get my hands on an accapella.

I think BlockHead has WAAAYYYY more talent (regarding beat production) that Aesop........Aesop's ish is not very assessible and he will not sell near as many records as he would using BlockHeads still dirty/underground yet more assessilbe style.

Aesop is good no matter what he raps over. He is just a good hip hop artist. Everything that I have heard from him is solid.
