FYI,
Harmony Central is giving out free passes to the AES convention at the Javitts Center. I was there two years ago, all of the big and small audio companies are there showing off their new hardware and software. It's worth checking out.

I've only been once, in 03, but there were maaaaaad industry professionals & artists there. Met John Mayer while he was lookin at Audio Technica mics, but I was workin a booth for the studio I was interning at so I didn't get to peruse the floor as much as I had wanted.
