Thanks everybody!
@Sucio - would you suggest the Galaxy 2 over the Infuse based on it being dual-core and the Infuse isn't? I mean do you think that would be an issue as far as using business and accounting based apps?
Yes I would recommend the dual core Galaxy 2 over the standard Infuse.....Remember if you're going to have this phone for that long of a time....might as well go dual core....single core devices are already out.....my Evo is a 1ghz and it came out over a year ago.
Dual core would only mean better battery life... The display on the Galaxy S II is awesome.
As far as business and accounting based apps....you want the best apps available for that....and I would recommend the iPhone for that. Android lacks quality applications....which is why a lot of them are free.....I think even Blackberry App World has better business applications than Android....
From experience....many corps are either sticking to BB or moving to iPhone for their business....Very rarely you see Android phones used for business, unless it's the users personal phone.
There's been tons of issues with devices upgrading to new software......especially in terms of the applications....I can't tell you how many times my apps were force closing after the Gingerbread update, you have to wait for the actual developers to update the applications to work with the new OS.
And DP...as far as BBs go..... The new bold really kicks ass.....and with the playbook bridge integration is bananas....I think BB is getting a bad rap because it's "behind" on the smartphone world.....however it's not for people looking for a shitload of apps.....it's for people who want good access to email and possibly enterprise servers and that's it.... I don't use a shitload of apps...All I have for my android are useless game applications....I don't stream video....I don't even watch movies on it.... I just want to check my email and do some basic internet searching...BB can do that for me without having to update your software every couple of months and encountering software issues (which is par for the course with Android).
If not for the iPhone coming to Sprint, I would've gotten the Bold, and gotten the playbook with it.....the playbook is a wi-fi only device but when paired with a new blackberry.....you can use the BB's data connection to access the web with the playbook....AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.... Turning your phone into a mobile hotspot costs at least $30 and it's now at a usage limit pretty much across the board........
The main reason why I prefer iOS and BB OS 7 over Android is simple.....
Theses OS are made specifically for their OWN devices...... As for Android, there are many companies making phones with this OS. HTC and Motorola work well with the ever constant Android updates, however LG and Samsung have had their share of issues with these updates. Both companies have been known to offer a downgrade back to a previous version due to the amount of issues the new update had.....Sounds like Windows to me...lmao
However, Samsung makes a good quality phone...Their Galaxy S series is unmatched in overall power, but the con is they are virtually the last to receive any software updates. If you were able to put a Galaxy S II inside an iPhone with iOS software....that phone would literally be relevant even when it's time to upgrade again.
