I haven't tried it but you do know that Edison and SliceX come in standalone right? Also, AACS6 doesn't have MIDI so you won't be able to use a controller with it (that may or may not matter with you, I don't know!?!?). At a glance it looks like a really good program for serious audio editing though.
You know, you could always course pitch your sample, which is also changing the time. Then counter pitch shift with a plugin, preserving the (new) timing.
good question. I havent used Audition in a long time. I use FL just for the time stretch. I would prefer to stay on reason. It's just that FL is so much easier for sample based music. Edison is stand alone? Didnt know that.
although before record and reason 5 and reason 6 came out i was using audition before to rewire reason into it! but i notice the old audition i couldn't use vst's sounds does the new cs6 have capabilities to use them!??
