ableton live 7 + mpd16

hi all, wasn't too sure if this was supposed to be posted here or in hardware...

is there a way to set my mpd in ableton to trigger samples/chops like an mpc?

for example;

i normally slice a drum loop/sample from wax to new midi, which is fine, its all layed out on the mpd properly. my qusetion is, is there a way to set it up so that when i press a pad on the mpd it plays the whole chop without having to hold the pad down?

i know on reason you would just set the polyphony down to 1 and release on max, but this isn't reason and i am a little lost.

any help would be awesome!

This is the right place to post this question. What are you using in Ableton for the samples i.e the drum rack?

i am using the clip properties window... i think...

i know its not loading into drum rack...

i have found the controls for the release, but i can't get it to cut the sound when i hit another pad.

To do this you need to set your choke points of the sliced samples to the same number like 1. If you expand the sliced midi track in the clips view you will see choke. Set them all to 1 and you should be good. Excuse the f'ed up grammar im typin this on a blackberry.
