a new SP 1200?

I heard from someone that EMU is gonna re-release the SP 1200; Anybody hear if this is true?

have not heard that, I usually know at least 3-4 months before the general public does on new products. But you never know. EMU is not really the same company they where in those day. Would be cool....

EMU seems strictly PC oriented these days, so I doubt that they will make any hardware units, unless its a MIDI controller.

Having mpc type pads would be cool too, and I dont know whats wrong with it, my guess is that its been beat to death in smokey rooms for too many years.

It would be nice and for years I've been asking how come they haven't done so yet. The SP is such a sought after machine, even though lots of people are going with software, and the SP is 12-bit, I'm sure it would be HUGE just in the hip hop community alone.

HAHA yes it did, in 12bit resolution pitched across the pads in decay mode!

Last time I plugged it in the screen barley came on and it acted like it didnt have the energy to load a disk so I have left it off ever since.
It needs pads replaced too, why the hell did they use PLASTIC!?
