14 best VST plugin drum machines

The D16 Nepheton looks good, so does MOTU BPM. Anyone try them out?

I have BPM, and it pretty cool. I would rather use Maschine or Kong however. Microtonic however is super unique, I need to get that one.

I've been using FXpansion Geist because the interface/workflow is pretty close to an MPC. I use it mostly for sampling and drums.

That being said, this article has me looking into BPM. looks dope. and way better than geist asthetically lol.

Only been using microtoniq and punch for the synth drums, both are good but microtoniq is more eh, hardcore not your typical hiphop stuff. Neptheton/drumazon when i'd want to use something TR, but i dont really like em.

?? They just put out a new controller not long ago. I would not hold my breath for a new one anytime soon.

Tried the MOTU BPM once, it's a while ago, but if remember correct, the workflow was a bit awkward. Geist has a much better workflow IMO. Can also recommend FXpansion Tremor for electronic drums.

FXpansion Geist is really dope. I find the option of saving your drum kits (and having your individual drums automatically gather in a folder) very helpful.
