I called up GC today to see if they had an Audiophile 192 in stock. The cat that answered wasn't my usual salesman. He told me they had one and I had him hold it for me.
I rolled out to GC to cop the card and, lo and behold, my usual rep was there. I told him what I was looking for and he called the cat I spoke to to get the card for me. He then did something odd, he looked up the card in their system, looked at me and said "when he get's up here, tell him we spoke about the card and I was gonna sell it to you for $120".
$120??? That's $60 offa the normal selling price!
When the other cat brought me the card, I told him that I had a price of $120 on it. He looked it up, told me that's COST for the card, then confirmed it with my rep.
What he did was kept the other cat from making any money off the sale, since it should have been his in the first place. I was all prepared to drop the normal price on it, but dude purposely shafted the other cat on the sale.
