    How do you know what your final mix level is in FLStudio if the master track in the mixing console is only telling you what the mix coming "in" is peaking at and not the final mix going out? If you add any effects to the master track, is there a db meter that shows if I'm still at -3 or -6db as...

    Flea Market Diggin Today

    i copped 20 records at a flea market saturday. found alot of good stuff, esp some 60's and 70's rock tunes (allman brothers, led zepplin, etc). flea markets can be a very good source for cheap vinyl.

    Garageband is a great program

    we use it to record all of our tracks and do some mixing and mastering. it's a dope program. i create the beats in flstudio and then my best friend/emcee loads it into gb, and takes it from there. he's made some nice beats with it too.

    just curious, after listening to this sample, did they have someone replay the sample or was it taken directly from the original and altered using software? i can't figure out how they got it to sound the way they did on jay-z's track.

    i dig but i don't have too much more room in my small house. i have 4 crates full now but i got my cd over the weekend and it's really nice. alot of breaks on there that i recognize from my early hip hop days. it will def help as an educational tool and also coming up with some new drums.
